Who Gonna Save Our Souls....

The publication of W.E.B. DuBois's The Souls of Black Folk on this date in 1903, was in great opposition to Booker T. Washington's program of social and political subordination. The two would bump heads for years on the roles and direction for blacks in America after the turn of the century.
