A few years ago, a few friends were tasked with finding over 100 Christmas gifts for children at a local non-profit organization who were poised to have none.  Within 24 hours, the friends pooled resources, connections and holiday budgets that had already been stretched tight to create a Christmas miracle. Every year since then that same group of close friends have come together to organize an annual toy drive to benefit the children of the Southeast White house, an organization that helps needy families in SE DC. The event is called Karaoke 4 A Cause. We invite between 250-300 people with each person donating a toy worth $20 or more. We ask that the toy be $20 or more in value because for some of these children this just might be the only toy they receive. This events helps to ensure that we can make Christmas special for several young deserving children in need. We are all from diverse backgrounds, we come together, promote the event through our networks, and commit to bringing at least 20-25 people to the event. It ends up being a GREAT event for an AMAZING cause. Over the past 3 years, attendees of Karaoke 4 A Cause placed over 700 gifts underneath a tree, that seemed to grow smaller and smaller by the minute.

Karaoke for a Cause is an annual charity event for the DC professional community that allows you to network and connect with professionals from various industries AND help provide needy families with dinners and toys during the Christmas. Join us for a fun, inspiring, one-of-a kind evening that will benefit these families in need. Mix and mingle, sip a few cocktails, and feel free to grab the microphone to sing your favorite song!
